About Us

Meghdoot Music Group, is committed and dedicated to the revival of golden melodies of our Indian Cinema since 1991. The founder of this group, Prof. Yogesh Yadav has been relentlessly working to preserve, promote and propagate the immortal songs, which were composed by legendary maestros like Naushad, C. Ramchandra, S. D. Burman, Roshan, Pankaj Mullick, Anil Biswas, etc. We have been the pioneers of this activity in Gujarat.
Prof. Yogesh Yadav has written 5 books on Indian Film Music which were published by stalwarts like Manna Dey Sahab, Naushadji, Anil Biswasji, Khayyamji & Snehal Bhatkarji.

For the last 14 years our group has performed in various parts of India and abroad. We have invited great music directors like Anil Biswasji, Naushadji, Khayyam Sahab (in Ahmedabad), Snehal Bhatkarji and received great appreciation from them.

On request of our music loving audiences & to continue the tradition of Prof. Yogesh Yadav, we have formed 'Meghdoot Melodies Club' under the leadership of Shri Nitant Yadav (s/o. Yogesh Yadav).

Meghdoot Melodies Club is an organization actively involved and committed in promotion and revival of old golden melodies of Indian Cinema since 1991. This organization also serves as a platform for young, talented and potential artists in pursuing their talent.

Meghdoot Melodies has regularly organized music festivals under the able guidance of great music directors of Hindi Film Industry like Late Anil Biswas, Late Naushad Sahab, Khayyam Sahab, Snehal Bhatkar, Meena Kapoor etc., and received great appreciation and blessings from them.


Our Aims

  • We will present 4 musical programmes in a year.
  • To present a celebrity in at least 1 of the 4 programmes.(Celebrities like Great Music Director Naushadji, Khayyamji etc.)
  • Down to earth approach - Pure music and Simplicity.
  • Generally singers won't be repeated in consecutive programmes.
  • Combination of old golden melodies and some good modern tunes (if any).
  • To present some established singers as well as to unearth new talents.
  • No individual sale of tickets for single programme but annual membership to meet the increasing expenditure.

Novel Idea

  • To attract youngsters towards melodies music.
  • The idea is unique and probably the first of its kind.
  • We also respect the choices of our senior members. So to cater to the needs of both, we have decided to present each programme with a combination of popular and off-bit (but melodies) golden melodies.

Some Principles Of Shri Yogesh Yadav

  • Emphasis on voice culture.
  • Voice quality of singers won't be over-shadowed by ear deafening instrumental music, so you can enjoy real quality of singer's voice.
  • No over dependence on orchestra but just sufficient instrumentation.
  • From last 14 years Prof. Yogesh Yadav has tried to present and promote unheard / less heard old golden melodies. So we would also include a few such melodious songs.
